Responsible for managing and updating the substance reporting for our heat-shrinkable tubing products. Responsible for providing technical support for technical services and application engineering functions. This will include close interaction with the product management, sales and development groups to answer customers worldwide concerning technical and hazardous substances inquiries about our product lines.

 

 

Requires a Bachelors Degree in Polymer Science, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or Plastics Engineering.

 

Work Experience:

 

- 10+ years of testing/application experience with plastics or elastomers.

 

- Previous experience with heat-shrinkable tubing applications a plus.

 

Knowledge/Skills:

 

- Familiar with plastics / elastomer testing techniques

- Familiar with polymer properties and property interrelationships.

- Experience with heat-shrink technology a plus

- Strong verbal & written communication skills in English, able to explain issues and concepts well

- Works well under pressure, able to deal with multiple customer questions and issues at any given time

- Familiarity with current international substance reporting requirements desirable

   (RoHS, IMDS, JIG and SvHC, etc.)

- Able to understand & recognize chemicals and substances by their chemical names
